We, Kobe Steel Group, use the personal information in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 and its related regulations ("CCPA"). This notice applies to our customers and the like who reside in the State of California(“you”). Below you will be informed about which personal information we collect and use from you. You will also be informed about how and for what purpose your personal information is used and what rights you have about your personal information to be used by us. Where noted in this Notice, the CCPA temporarily exempts personal information reflecting a written or verbal communication within the context of business relationship and employment relationship from some of its requirements.

2. Collection and Use of personal information

We have collected the following categories of personal information from you within the last 12 months:

We have not sold and shared your personal information in the preceding 12 months other than category (4).

We do not knowingly collect or sell the information of minors under the age of 16.

3. Your rights

Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information.

We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you.

The verifiable consumer request must:

  • Include the information completely and correctly by filling in inquiry forms.
  • Describe what we should respond to.
  • Allow us to match your personal information that we already have collected at least 3 contents.

If you designate an authorized agent to make a disclosure or deletion request on your behalf, we may require that you provide the authorized agent written permission to do so and verify your own identity directly with us.

You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection, use, disclosure, and sales of your non-exempted personal information over the past 12 months.

You have the right to request that we delete any of your non-exempted personal information that we collected from you and retained.

We may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for us or our service providers to:

  • Complete the transaction for which we collected the personal information, provide products or service that you requested, take actions reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, fulfill the terms of a written warranty or product recall conducted in accordance with federal law, or otherwise perform our contract with you.
  • Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities.
  • Comply with a legal obligation.
  • Make other internal and lawful uses of that information that are compatible with the context in which you provided it.
